About The Project

Set proudly at the front of a heritage-style home in Coorparoo, this pool and pavilion project reimagines outdoor living for a modern family. The owners had just completed an extensive renovation on the home and wanted their outdoor space to reflect the same level of thought, care and design. Most importantly, they wanted something special for the next generation to enjoy.
The pool measures 8 by 4 metres and holds 45,000 litres of magnesium-enriched water. Its fully tiled mosaic interior gives the surface a refined shimmer, while Revello travertine coping brings warmth and texture underfoot. The result is a finish that feels both timeless and intentional, seamlessly bridging the old and the new.
Designed with the family’s grandchildren in mind, this space invites play, rest and time together. Frameless glass fencing and rendered walls provide a secure and open layout, while integrated wall lighting and a shear descent water feature elevate the atmosphere into something serene and inviting. A hidden Remco pool blanket sits neatly out of sight, maintaining the clean lines of the design while providing safety and thermal efficiency. With Aqualink automation and in-floor cleaning, the pool is also designed to be as easy to use as it is beautiful.
One of the biggest challenges was navigating the local planning process. The home’s heritage classification required careful design development and formal approval to ensure the pool would complement the architectural style. Extra time was spent refining the plans, but that effort paid off. The final layout respects the home’s history while bringing a completely new layer of lifestyle to the property.

The outcome

Today, the space is alive with family energy. The grandkids dive in at every opportunity. The grandparents, parents and friends relax under the shade of the new pavilion. It is a place where generations meet, and memories are made. For the owners, it is more than a pool. It is a legacy that can be enjoyed now, and passed on in the years to come.
